Idk man some of the cases are dark but the details tend to not be delved into.

It is a kids show they tend to not stress any of that stuff in the first place but put some thought behind some of the cases and it's a little heavier.

Usually the canon conan (haha) eps are darker especially the black organisation ones, while the fillers are childish and not that deep going and I usually solve them before the reveal part.😅🤣

By nature though the show is somewhat dark given that people are being murdered in basically every episode for a whole host of things.

A good amount of the backstories if you put a little thought into it seems a whole lot more tragic or just messed up. Then again, it seems like some of the recent fillers have actually not been so bad. Tbh I’ve been liking some of the fillers recently.

Feel like her screen time has just plummeted. The other thing to note though is it's possible the voice actress doesn't particularly want to do a ton of lines or be heavily involved in weekly shows outside of canon.

Well, given just how long the show has been going, this is like a weekly routine for the Detective conan staff and it's probably tiring at some point to keep doing it. I still am a firm believer that even though Detective conan has a plot, the black org plot, it still is easily a good weekly detective show just to watch and spend some time on.

Sera is also not ordinary - she's a daughter of a CIA and MI6 agents, sister of an FBI agent and a famous shogi champion. Ran is the most ordinary if them imo.

3 of sera's family nobody knows about (they're agents self explanatory) and the other brother quite has no connection to her now (unless someone actually digs for it), whatever credentials her family's got is as good as none

TMS Animation needs to improve their character design and color pallet for weekly Conan episodes.
The movies get good animation but it's not the same case in the weekly episodes.
